Do bathroom safety aids require drilling?

When is a tub transfer bench useful?

It supports seated entry and exit from a standard tub: sit outside, turn, and slide across with assistance as appropriate. Measure tub wall, tub width, floor clearance, and bench height first.

When would a bedside commode chair help?

It provides a toileting option near the bed or in another private room. Check adjustable height, floor stability, clearance, and caregiver access. Follow care instructions; ask a clinician if you need help choosing.

How do I get the best grip from a tub mat?

Use the suction-cup mat only on a clean, smooth, suitable tub surface. Press cups firmly, check it lies flat, and inspect before use. Textured or uneven surfaces may not grip; supervision and hand support may still be needed.
